What is Boston Modern Studio?

We are a natural light photography & small event studio in Canton, MA. We are proudly hosted by Boston Modern Staging + Design, our sister Home Staging and Interior Design company.

Where are you located?

We are located just South of Boston. Boston Modern Studio 15 Marshall St, Unit J Canton, MA 02021 Get directions here.

What are your hourly rates?

We have two different hourly rates: The Blank Space - $125/hr a blank space for your creation The Curated Space - $150/hr you send us your inspo & we curate the space! **currently no hourly minimum when booking**

How do I book studio time?

Is there parking onsite?

Yes, there is plenty of parking at Boston Modern Studio!

Are pets allowed in the studio?

We LOVE our furry friends, we are absolutely pet friendly!

Am I able to get ready there?

Yes, plenty of space to get ready. We also have two bathrooms onsite. BM Tip: Have your whole glam squad meet you at the studio & make a day out of your shoot!

How far in advance should I book?

We recommend booking at least two weeks in advance to secure your preferred weekday. For weekend studio hours, we suggest booking a month ahead to ensure availability.

What happens if I need to extend my booking on the day of the shoot?

Extensions are possible if there’s no booking immediately after yours. Additional time will be billed at our hourly rate.

Do you provide professional photography backdrops and stands?

Yes! We provide high-quality paper backdrops along with a backdrop stand system, including support poles and crossbars, to ensure a seamless setup for your shoot.

Can I bring my own props or furniture?

Yes! You are welcome to bring props or small furniture, but please inform us in advance for larger items or elaborate setups.

Can I tour the studio before booking?

Yes! We offer studio tours by appointment — just reach out to set up a walkthrough with us.

Do you offer half-day or full-day rentals?

Yes, we offer flexible booking options, send us an inquiry & lets chat!

Can I hire a photographer through your studio?

While we don’t provide photographers directly, we’re happy to recommend talented professionals we’ve worked with!
